At midday of 18th January, 2018, at the conference room on the first floor of the administration building, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Youth League Committee held the work summary meeting regarding the student club. In attendance were members from the Community Management Center as well as President and Vice Presidents from the Student Society. The meeting was chaired by student Zhao Lanlan with the Publicity Department.
Since the beginning of this term, under the leadership of the Youth League Committee and substantially supported by the Senior High Department, the Student Association autonomously initiated colorful activities. Firstly, the Basketball and Soccer Clubs carried out competitions in different classes and grades around Anqing Foreign Language School. Secondly, the Duxiu Literature Society compiled and distributed the second issue of students’ school magazine ‘Banyan’ and organized debate contests in the Literary Association as well. Thirdly, the Dance and Instrumental Music Clubs meticulously prepared and joined the Halloween and New Year art performance to bring all teachers and students brilliant programs. Fourthly, the Model United Nations Association rigorously organized the membership training and picked out top performers to prepare for next year’s 4th Session Model United Nations Conference which would be held in Taihu County, Anqing City. Fifthly, the Art Club launched the painting and calligraphy exhibition for the Halloween festival and participated in the design work of the activity room of the Student Organization. Last but not the least, the Speech& Broadcast Club continued to host various events on campus.
To conclude, the Youth League Committee commended the managerial staff and outstanding club members in addition to awarding them Certificates of Honor. In the meantime, teacher Jin Gensheng from the League Committee fully affirmed various assignments implemented by each Student Society in this semester. Also, he put forward instructional comments and suggestions for the future club work.
